Meet “Jo” Quetta Carter

Joquetta Carter is an award winning celebrity floral and event designer. She is the owner and lead designer of No. 1 Flowers LLC. a full service wedding and event floral design company. She is also the owner of Carter’s Wholesale Flowers.

Jo is a well know floral designer in Central Florida and has designed florals and events for well known figures such as Courtney Adeleye, Saint Laurent, Tony Robinson, and others. No. 1 Flowers has been featured in Essence, Munaluchi Bride, Southern Brides, Married Orlando, Bridal Babes, Yelp, Tory Burch and more.

Jo is currently the only Black Owned Floral Shop located in Central Florida. Her goal is to educate others on Floral Care and Design. If you are looking to elevate your business, this is the workshop for you.

The Location

Luxmore Grande Estate. The 20,543 square foot estate is ideal for weddings, anniversary parties, corporate meetings and social gatherings. The Estate has four distinctive rooms and an exterior oasis: The Grande Ballroom, The Lux Parlor, The Estate Room, Jesup Garden + Patio, and The Lux VIP Suite.

Join no.1 Flowers for another year of our popular floral and design workshop. This program has been carefully designed to guide attendees to the next level of floral and event design, and to teach attendees how to build a successful business in the floral industry.

During this 3-day intensive workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of floral and event design, layering, tabletop essentials and have the opportunity to get hands-on experience creating a real event. Attendees will be given the tools and guidance to create lush and over-the-top arrangements, bouquets, creative floral designs and more. The workshop will give you the confidence to create, design, and discover your own personal style. In addition, we will be teaching the mechanics behind how we build our lush floral arrangements, bouquets and room transformation

Attendees will leave this workshop inspired and with a wealth of information, hands-on experience, resources and tools.

The workshop will conclude with a Black Tie Gala. This reception promises to be a hit and will be the perfect ending to the workshop for all  attendees! Registration cost includes: breakfast, lunch, tools and supplies. Travel costs and accommodations are NOT included.

Upon completion of the workshop. attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion from Jo Carter
